Recently, I was listening to the Tim Ferris Show podcast where he was interviewing Ramit Sethi of “I will teach you how to be rich” about how he started his blog many years ago with the purpose of helping individuals become “Rich” in all aspects of their lives.
I have been in sales for most of my 20 year career. My parents taught me the value of giving back to the community you live in. As a result, I have been involved in several non-for-profit governance boards. Most recently, I was on the board of an organization who re-phrased the traditional Fundraising Committee into a Resource Development Committee. I volunteered to participate. Why? Well, for the first time I understood the Resource Development process to be very similar to sales or selling.
The objective of “Fundraise One Million Dollars” is to provide process, tools, coaching, insights to help you, the reader, efficiently and effectively raise sufficient funds to support your social enterprise and not-for-profit organization.
